Blue Cosmic Swirl Enamel Earrings, Celestial Jewelry, Sterling Silver Ear Wires
Simple copper disks become magical with light blue and cobalt blue enamel.
The design is made using the sgraffito technique: A layer of cobalt blue is kiln fired to both sides of the copper, then light blue is sifted over the dark blue and a swirled pattern is scratched into the light blue.
One more kiln firing and the earrings are ready are ready for the handmade sterling silver ear wires.
I made these earrings entirely by hand. The disks measure approximately 19.5 mm (3/4").
